Résumé
Adolescents in foster care are faced with specific needs and challenges related to their adverse childhood experiences and out-of-home placement histories. They are simultaneously navigating important developmental changes associated with the adolescent period. Adequate care and proper interventions and policies must be implemented to facilitate their adaptation and promote resilience. Research knowledge can inform practices in order to better guide placement decisions and provide adequate resources to adolescents in foster care.
